The directive applies to V2500 engines powering aircraft such as the Airbus A320ceo family, MD-90, and Embraer KC-390. Without corrective action, the defect could lead to uncontained release of the diffuser case, posing a serious safety risk. The mandated replacement is estimated at around $255,950 per engine, combining labor and parts.
